Tour of Britain – Stage Five
It’s all change today after Stage Five of the Tour of Britain with Mark Cavendish loosing the IG Markets Gold jersey on the challenging Stoke stage.
It was a tough day for all the boys but they rode well covering early moves. Unfortunately a couple of problems with Dan Lloyds bike put him on the back foot and Peter Hawkins was caught up in two crashes and is a little bit battered and bruised tonight.
The stage was won by Marc de Maar but Leigh Howard from Orica GreenEdge leads the GC going into Stage six which hits Caerphilly Mountain.
Dan Lloyd rode tomorrow’s stage a couple of weeks ago and gives us an insight into the day…..
